I'm not sure he did, Saka created very little because of Hair-Bear, and he got the excellent cross for the winner. Hair-Bear had a great tournament what ever anyone thinks of him. Kane and Southgate must be gutted, always losing, it must really grind them down.

Watkins and Palmer were massively disrespected this entire tournament. And, we got as far as we did despite having Kane on the pitch, not because he brought anything substantial to the table. We got lucky playing a subpar line up, and last minute substitutions.

I agree with this. I don’t understand why there is a big love in. He has messed up badly in every game. Konsa looked better. He has to do better with the header. He has to score.
Rice is so massively overrated it is painful.

In 12 days time, the Olympics will start. We'll have plenty of winners there. We have sportsmen and sportswomen who can get it done.Southgate to announce his resignation tomorrow I would imagine.
Honestly though I can't even fully blame him for this.

Yeah for sure. But, meaning no disrespect to the men and women who will go on to win gold, it's football I want us to win. I want our national team to win a tournament before my ever aging father isn't alive to see it.
Rice , Walker and Kane had particularly poor tournaments imo.
If only, Kane must feel cursed.

He contributed nothing of note, and rarely does ... a more astute management team will not be swayed to support his selection despite his shortcomings.

Not that it would’ve made any difference to the result and the deserved Spanish win, but it pissed me off more than it should that the ref blew dead on 94 mins, despite the ball being in play for about 30 seconds of injury time.
4 mins didn’t seem long enough either after having got used to PL games where 5-10 mins seems the norm since the 2022 World Cup.

He's made the team less-divided: great, and no mean feat, but that's the job of a f***ing coach, not a manager. It can't be the primary reason why you're in a f***ing job.
He is tactically inept, sticks with his favourites regardless of form/fitness and is a bottler, just as he was as a player.
