Must admit as much as I’ve become disinterested in England the older I get seeing the reaction of my 11 year old to the Watkins goal and the full time whistle took me back in time to how I felt at Italia 90 and how I’m so happy for him that the feeling is one of elation this time rather than disappointment.

Much better performance tonight. The penalty decision was some sweet revenge for Koeman's non-dismissal pre WC1994.

With all the previous talk about pressure and expectation, being clear underdogs going into the Final might just help.

Beating the standout team in the tournament would be a fitting way to win it.

Let's hope they can.

Hazza is such a captain, pure joy from him for Ollie there!

Yes, but he was a little out of position and he will have learned a lot this tournament, it can only benefit us going forward.
But fantastic for Lewis now knowing all those minutes with no minutes played but he does have the chance of making history being the first ever Brighton player in a European cup winning squad.

What a brilliant result. It’s nice of Southgate to turn up to the tournament finally. Luckily we’ve had the easiest run to a final we could’ve ever hoped for, so we should be well placed come Sunday. I’m excited about England again!

Deserved it tonight. In a weird way, going a goal down seemed to suit us. That’s when this team starts playing.

For the previous games, you'd be right. But we actually started playing from the start tonight.

I do get concerned for kids his age following the Albion and England. At what stage are you going to introduce him to DESPAIR and MEDIOCRITY ?
