Wrong decision, they’ve let bullies win. Part of the problem is this sort of over reaction to one persons intimidation.

Get out there, put posters up whatever your party, and don’t cower to those trying to pervert the course of democracy.

What ever your political slant, surely no one can think this is alright?
It's what makes our country so scummy.

That's appalling. Unfortunately it doesn't say whether it had a political slant or not but it is normal for people to make assumptions. If for instance someone kicked a cyclist you'd assume they didn't like cyclists. However the person who kicked the cyclist would have to say why, to justify their actions. Maybe there's an internet forum someone that the perpetrator is giving his reasons for doing it, it is a strange world we live in.
Some cyclists are knobs, some Tory MP's are knobs (including hopefuls), lots of people are knobs. That doesn't mean it's right to attack people though.

I’m not AGAINST them vanishing into the abyss ;)

It’s two issues really, 1) who would replace them, and at the moment it’s Reform which terrifies me and 2) it certainly isn’t going to be a brand new party of moderates taking the vote. It’s going to be the opposite
At the moment Labour seem sensible and likely to win the election. That's enough for me.

I think anybody still voting Conservative or Reform at this point is so far beyond the beyond that they're basically that baby in a big bubble at the end of 2001 A Space Odyssey. The sensible right wing voters are either not going to turn out or will vote Labour/Lib Dem depending on what constituency they live in.

Chances are they'll switch back to voting Conservative at the first opportunity.

Well, he has, to promote his “comedy”.

Not with this user though. My guess is someone bigger.
Oh bugger I knew I should have paid more attention to Miss Marple & Poirot! 🤦‍♀️ Were they really, really rich & could afford another 2 members of staff after some sh*t show thing that this government did (I think it was Truss's budget, but there's a lot of things that were sh*t shows!).

I can see where you are coming from but these was a big sign with vote conservative all over it, and many other have been damaged or ripped down with graffiti all over them.
It does suggest a rabid leftie as the other fella put in the mix, could be a bit lively along the Sussex coast.
The damage to things is bad enough but to people is not good. As we know from the MP murders. A head injury could have added another to the list. I still feel there is more motives from politically opposed than anything else.
You're right there are many knobs!

I wouldn't describe Danish born comedian and broadcaster Sandi Toksvig as a 'rabid leftie' or a 'knob'. It's unbecoming.

Right Wing Ronnie seems to know a lot about this for someone that wasn’t there 🤷‍♂️
Right brain Ronnie, maybe I'm wrong and a 63 year old man was walking past and said hello to the volunteer and the Tory volunteer said, how dare you speak to me I am concentrating on putting up a sign and it developed into an argument, where the 63 year old said calm down and they both started tickling one another's feet, with the freshly fallen dove feathers. They laughed so hard that the volunteer lost consciousness and fell to hit his head.
What do you think?🤷‍♂️
I am going with the original theory because it's a few days before the most important decision in many people's lives and it would be unlikely to find two excellent tickling dove feathers together.

Sadly, THE most important decision was in 2016 - that's the one that will have long-lasting effects.
This? Merely another in a long line of regular ones, but will very likely to put-paid to 14 years of Tory shite.
Bring it on.

That's shit, that is. We might vehemently disagree on politics, but only in a polite way. When we lose that...
Yes, I find that lack of respect and pure hatred extremely worrying for the human race and it always ends in war. A debate is fine, when it ends with pure aggression it sad for all involved.

So a right wing supporter (who seemingly hasn't posted before today) posts a story that he puts a political slant on to justify him voting for the Tories, possibly because without this flimsy justification he'd be embarrassed to vote for his favourites! Numerous posts pointing out that the motive for the attack is, as yet, unknown, including whether it is a 'leftie' or a far right, possibly Reform, character.

Notwithstanding any of the above, the only thing that we all seem to agree on is that if this was a politically motivated attack then it is an attack on our democracy.
