The opposition will have no say on government policy when there is a majority, and the majority party is not split. I haven't seen any clamour in the labour party to have closer ties with the EU, but I imagine we will, and this will be supported by the liberals. But the howls of 'betrayal' from the ERG zombies and Farage and his chum (come on, they aren't going to get 3 MPs) will be ghastly to experience.
From talking to active Labour Party members local to me, there is a desire to forge closer links with Europe at that level, but clearly the party leadership are petrified of mentioning the B word, so that won't be mentioned at all.

Reversing Brexit can't realistically start until the majority of those who supported it, the "Red Wall" and elsewhere, realise that they were lied to and sold a pup. The's not going to happen overnight as victims of confidence tricks are notoriously difficult to convince they've been conned; it's going to take years.

Not true. In the final month of the 2016 referendum campaign there were 43 polls: 21 for Leave, 19 for Remain, 3 Tie.
We don't need to reverse Brexit (ie re-join the EU), we need to re-join the single market in some form.
