Yes another Zamora thread  No, I haven't spotted him being courted by TB at The Grand

I know there is another goal thread but I want to know what NSC's favourite ZAMORA  goal is.

For me the Halifax one for pure quality is obviously amazing, but Bury is technically sublime and the Portsmouth finish is fantastic.

NSC can decide.

Whenever I watch that I don't know whether to wank or thank god I was there for all the goals including Bury away.

One thing I have just noticed is how mental everyone went when he scored V Portsmouth.

God they used to be a big club.

Bury IMHO. I was behind the goal and it was a combination of three things:
1)The pace of the move
2)The inter-passing between players
3)Bobby's awareness

that made it such a great goal.

I loved it then and still do!

38 v Wimbledon looked better in reality, but that was Steele's run that made it.

I always thought his goal vs. Bury was exceptional technique but the one vs. Bristol City was excellent too: High ball to the back npost, chest down, cut inside, dump defender on arse and rifle into far top corner (around no. 40 I think).

What continues to stagger me is the sheer variety of goals he scored: headers (close and distance), left and right foot, volleys, half volleys, chips, long range, penalties... He was such a complete player for us at such a young age in terms of his finishes.

I miss him.

I voted for the Halifax goal - and would put Bury and Reading as 2nd/3rd.

I wasn't at the Bury game - if I had been, maybe I would have gone for that one?

Two things stand out for me:

(1) We were lucky to have him, he scored some fantastic goals.

(2) The Withdean pitch (in the early years) really was CRAP!*

* How about another poll - in which game was the Withdean pitch in the worst condition - I recall a News Year's Day game v (possibly) Southend, where it was AWFUL.
