I know his best years are gone but I'd still love him back... The buzz at the stadium, the feel good factor it would create would be a much needed lift for us all...

I like the bunny as a tweeter (pretty sure it's a regular on here!) but wasn't it last year on deadline day he broke an exclusive on someone who we'd been heavily linked with being at the Amex for a medical on deadline day only for them to sign somewhere up north a few hours later. Guess work I suspect...

He won't be... Not that I have any inside info.... It's just that it's inconceivable to me that he will be the only striker we bring in.
I say this in the confidence that both COG and Colunga will be leaving this window, either sold or loaned out.
Anyway, a chance to see him to score the 17 goals he needs for his albion 100 would be most welcome.

Thinking about the possible signing of an ageing we all know he is not as prolific as he once was and will never be that goal scoring machine again,
However his hold up play & awareness will be much needed. Not forgetting I feel his enthusiasm will be in infectious around the club and sometimes you cannot put a price on that.
We will not be forking out for a transfer fee, so I feel this is a win win option.
He will be a great foil & bring out the best of Calunga and Baldock or another....

Stopped following him when he made some wild guess ( presented as fact ) about a player, that never happened in the end.
I think it was about Vicente staying another year, but it may have been something else.

I would not mind him back here with a certain amount of caveats : ie goals scored, a top 6 finish/promotion, amount of games played bonus
Given the fact that he's been in Premier League teams for the last dozen years it's not beyond the realms of possibility that he's been sensible with his money and doesn't need huge wages.
I would think it obvious that he wouldn't be our number one striker but I think he could certainly bring out the best in Baldock.

Good shout - and agree with the bit in bold in particular. Several of our players needed a kick up the wotsit from that perspective last season, very lacklustre at times.

If Bobby comes back I feel it will be for the right reasons. From our perspective he would give us an experienced strong hold up forward with a good football brain who can still finish a chance. From his perspective a chance to return to the only place he was really appreciated where he can see out his career trying to cement his legend by trying to ensure a decent run at the playoffs/promotion.
Off the field I think his signing would enthuse the majority of our supporters and really give them a rare chance to feel good about the team again. I cannot deny that it would be good to see Zamora 25 on the pitch at the Amex.

Enthusiasm from a guy who freely admits he doesn't actually like or enjoy football and sees it as a job? I don't think so...
I do want him back though. As you rightly say, his hold up play and link up play is Premier League standard and with the right wingers could still get 15+ goals this season whilst maybe getting the best out of our other strikers.
No-matter what negatives there are, he's still a different world of quality ahead of O'Grady.

exactly. i dont think the club, less so Hughton, would be interested in signing Zamora for nostalgic reasons. He is a decent professional who'd add experience and presence to any Championship side. he doesn't score alot, we all know that so shouldnt expect that. just need a goal scorer to complete the front line.

If true, he'd be a good addition. Try & forget the past & look at the type of player he is now. If he stays injury free it could be a great season for him. Let's face it, he wouldn't want to ruin his legacy, so he'd be giving 100% should he return. It's a "believe it when I see it" from me, but definitely a thumbs up.
