Zamora reception

I thought Bobby thoroughly deserved the reception we gave him. He is a legend and thus should be treated like one. We had a team full of heroes again yesterday and us singing about BZ did not phase them. In fact I think it encourages them as they know that we all love and respect everything they do for us even when they leave.

Great work to all of my fellow fans that were cheering Saturday. It made for a great day out :clap2: :clap2: :clap2: :clap2: :clap2: :clap2: :clap2:

If I'd have been there today I'd have lobbed my spare change at the fucker.

Given that you are totally skint Safeway the only thing in your pocket would be a used wank stained hankie:ohmy:

Great to see the fans give him such a warm reception. He genuinely seemed to appreciate it.

Given that many West Ham fans don't rate him and he is still trying to win over them, it was a nice touch to see him acknowledge us at the end.

His shot that went for a throw in was a mark of the love he still has for the Albion. Bring Bobby home.

I really can't remember it?

Anyone want to talk/write me through it?

Speaking to a few West Ham fans, they feel that they need to offload Bobby.................where next for Zamora, does not sound like he has a future at the West Ham

When he warmed-up at half-time, yes.

Not when he came on though, obviously.

We sung "We love Bobby more than you" to the West Ham fans which was WELL GAY, frankly.

But our "one-nil to the nancy boys" was excellent :lolol: :lolol:

Isn't it amazing what a knock to confidence can do to a striker. I think the Tottenham experience set Bobby back to square one. I really thought he'd make it in the Premiership. Perhaps if he'd have gone to Everton or Leicester he may have, I guess we'll never know. It's almost as if his desire to prove himself to Hoddle choked his goal scoring instinct and he never fully recovered. Going to the team that he supports straight afterward landed him with a similar overbearing desire to be a homegrown hero. When he was playing for us he believed every time he got the ball in a good position that he'd score. Ever since his move he's looked like he's trying too hard and he's lost his rythmn. I hope he gets it back but I agree that he needs to move away from West Ham. Such a shame. I wrote to him wishing him good luck when he left and I still do, no matter who he plays for (with the obvious exception). At least he'll always be a legend to us.

I thought Bobby didn't play that badly, but just that last 10 minutes the Hammers fell apart and he was dragged down by the general mediocrity of his team.

I still reckon West Ham will finish top 6 though - that's the measure of our achievement.

Zamora deserved that reception and more as he pratically dragged us through the divisions with over 70 goals:bounce:

couldn't agree more. he's one of the greatest players to put on the stripes and i hope many, like i, wish him all the best for the future.

Bobby's reception was superb and thoroughly deserved. I bet it did make him realised what he's missing, having vociforous fans shouting his name.

I was speaking to a West Ham season ticket holder yesterday, and he said they couldn't believe the reception Bobby got. I pointed out that he was only surprised because West Ham don't really treat their ex-players with any respect at all, "Just look at Paul Ince .." he then turned a funny colour and started shouting obsenities, so I left.

That's a pretty fair assesment although i'm not sure whether he was ever going to be top Premiership. The most accurate assessment is about the Spurs move. That move was just so wrong and mentally he's being suffering ever since and its translated to his performances on the pitch. I work with Hammers season ticket holder and he struggles to believe that Bobby was such a class act for us. I fear his days there are numbered as Pardew won't want to take the heat even though of course he has seen Bobby at his dazzling best for us.

I think BZ's acknowledgement to us was spot onas he could go OOT in front of fans who already hate him.

Let's hope his next move is a smart one and his form returns as we owe Bobby a lot. As for him coming back to us in the near future, that's fantasy land considering our finances and what he's proabably earning now.
