As much as I like the bloke, if he's in the World Cup squad then something is seriously wrong with our strikers, and you can write off our chances of winning!

Right them off now.

We don't have the world class goal keeper you need to be able to win the thing anyway. No matter how good our outfield players may be.

Anything better then quarter-finals should be considered a successful campaign.

His performances for Fulham have been absolute quality, he's been a much better hold up and link up player than Heskey. But he's missed a shitload of easy chances. If he hadn't I think he'd have been a shoe in, he'd have been in long before now, but although he seems to have regained a little of his goalscoring touch this season (though not completely) it's probably too late to come from nowhere to the world cup squad.

Agreed Dilent Bob, I think if he was to smash in another 10 goals this season he would give himself a good chance

Unlikely to happen but he could play the Heskey role. I don't see the lack of goals as a particular problem. How many does Heskey score. Zamora is a different player now and has added a lot to his game.

Lets be honest we don't have many strikers that can actually score for england so why not a couple of unknowns?
rooney
defoe
zamora
I would also love to see walcott as he seems to do well for england:D

Zamora was a big part of the greatest team in Fulhams entire history last season.
If he can notch a few goals in high profile games during the remainder of the season, perhaps he could worm his way into the squad for one of the friendlies. From there, who knows.

Unlikely, but I wouldn't totally rule it out. Specially if there's a couple of injuries to the usuals.

Imo i think Rooney, Defoe, Crouch, are all nalied on to go to the world cup the 1 place i think is up for grabs is heskey or cole and if Walcott starts to play at bit more and stays injury clear i think he will take him as a midfielder/striker. If not then Agbonlahor.

As for Bobby would love to see him play for England but cant see it happening, but hes been giving some of the best defenders in the premiership a handful all game

You haven't seen many Premiership games then?!

Enough Spurs matches to know that Dawson is toilet.
I often go with a Spurs-supporting mate and see their games, and it makes me happy to be Brighton (only just) seeing how frustrating that load can be.
I've also been pointing out to my pal, for some time now, that Dawson is a donkey - when he clears the ball to the edge of the area, into the middle from the wing, or blunders it straight to an opposing player.

There's a brilliant Subutteo figure of him out now though
