Suggestion on TalkSport that both Arteta & Klopp are monitoring Bissouma progress and could be subject to bids either in January or next Summer.

Still in Brighton
Must say he's changed my mind. Until this season I felt he was always too sloppy, giving the ball away in dangerous areas, a bit lazy sometimes, too wild with his shooting. But this season he has been immense in the tackle, mature, great positioning, more on point shooting and now should be first name on the team sheet. Not surprised bigger teams are watching a bit closer. Wonder his price nowadays?

He has been superb this season. His value will have soared as a box to box midfielder. Along with Lamptey and White he must be worth well north of 30Million. I think March is gonna have a pretty high value now as well. In fact be interesting to have a guess at total value of our squad now....... Think it is rising all over the pitch at the moment. Lots of young players with Prem experience etc

I'll guess the club will value his as follows .....

"N/A - Not for sale"

As a way of exploding a few brains, can I just take a moment to point out the Albion have at least 2 (Molumby and Alzate) possibly 3 (Polish chap) ready made YOUNGER replacements each eager to step into Old Man Biss' boots*.

What a time to be supporting the Albion!!!

(*Narrators voice - Bissouma is just 24)

Does his contract expire in 2023 though? If so we'll either need to be sure he'll sign a new contract next season or sell in the summer to get full value for him, as he'll start to become less valuable as his contract winds down in the final two years...

I'm sure big clubs watching him closely but I don't see Brighton selling their best player considering how the season is going

Of course big clubs both in the UK and abroad are interested in him. Considering how good he has been for a fairly long while now, its obvious that they would be hungry for him.

But I really cant see him leaving in January. In recent years the January transfer window is usually fairly slow and the deals that gets done are usually unsettled players or players with expiring contracts moving around for small fees. Bissouma is a ca £50m player and I just cant see a deal of that size happening in January.

The summer is a different thing. If he keeps his current level he is more likely to go than to stay.

Talksport are saying Arsenal and Liverpool are interested in a January move for him. I doubt there’s much truth to the article.

Lazy journalism, the guy who claimed this in the article sounds like one of those people who likes to pretend he’s ‘In the know’ by claiming he knows things that are really impossible to know, how would he know for a fact Liverpool or Arsenal are interested unless those managers have specifically told him which would never happen?

Biss to Liverpool really seems to be building momentum now.

Thankfully we are in a position to only have to accept silly money.

However if they really want him, we aren't going to be able to keep him.

Indeed. Silly money comes along unfortunately, just look at Wan-Bissaka & Slabhead to Man Utd.

A positive though, it won’t be rumours of Dunk leaving for big money that will occupy our minds in the transfer windows anymore, Lamptey, White & Bissouma are now more attractive to the 10 sides in the World who could afford to part Tony with a player he wants to keep.

Bids would have to be seriously, eye-wateringly high for Tony to even bother picking up the phone..............and the player would have to be really wanting to go (Lamptey is a good example - would he want to leave if not guaranteed first team football as it’s why he came here in the first place ?). It’d be disappointing to lose any of our young diamonds but we at least have some very good cover in place and the injection of funds would be colossal. Personally think it’s very highly unlikely we’ll let any of them go in January anyway.

Pretty happy position for the club to be in........amazing really that there’s easily £100m+ potential profit with just those three if we wanted to realise it.

At the moment I doubt there'd be solid enough interest from the likes of Liverpool and Arsenal to make a January bid. They could well be monitoring him, but id say he needs to add a few more goals/assists to his game before we can expect any bids.

Reporter to Klopp...."Bissouma played well against you today, would you be interested in a player of his ability?"

Klopp... " Liverpool are always interested in good players"

He's definitely off then! :)
