A piece on Bissouma from the back end of last season...

"Back to the La Ville Rose in the weekend just gone, the Malian, miles out, with the odds against him, fancied his chances. He was right.

Smashed with his right foot, the midfielder couldn’t have hit the ball any sweeter and all the future France No.1 could do was watch it fly beyond his out-stretched arms and ripple the net."

That was an incredible free kick.
According to the chart documenting his strengths and weaknesses it looks like he is more of a defensive midfielder rather than a creative midfielder.
Good luck to Chris Hughton trying to fit them all in.
If Bissouma starts alongside Propper and Stephens in a 4-4-2 midfield I assume Chris will only have room for one wide player (Iziquerdo/Knockeart/Locadia).
Assuming he is also starting Gross and Murray/Andone up front.

I can see Knockeart becoming a specialised impact sub.

Why does every new singing have to go straight into the starting XI?

Unless CH has had his hand forced by injury or the recruitment team, CH isn't one for throwing a newbie to the wolves.

Good point SB, my little mind assumes expensive signings are probable starters but CH showed with Locadia and Izquierdo last season that that's not the case.
I think one of our strengths last season was the team spirit due to the lack of egos (i.e. Hunnemier and Goldson). I'm not so sure it will be so easy this season trying to keep everyone happy.

It's one kick of a ball, a good one, yes, but just one kick of a ball. I'll reserve judgement until i've seen him play on the field in the stripes. Fingers crossed he's as good as that kick suggests. (and yes i'm sure that there's a highlights reel somewhere)

Sounds like a tactic we've used under Hughton away from home since he joined.

I he's decent then Bissouma will get games . They all will

I read that chart very differently to you. It shows that he is creative, with forward passes and dribbling a key feature. He isn't an ACM though (a la how Gross played last season), and is probably better described as a box-to-box midfielder than either DCM or ACM, as both that chart seems to indicate and his claim that Yaya Toure is his favourite player, and the one he models himself on.
