Rename the stadium to the Japanese Express stadium

That's not a credit card but probably about restaurants.

I know the south coast could use help with good restaurants but how much do you spend using credit cards (much more often these days) and how much do you spend on Japanese restaurants? Remember the credit card companies get a share of each transaction from the vendor not the buyer.

Must I remind you----from Wikipedia (which we know is as truthful as Donald Trump, just ask the Trump supporters)

*****As tensions escalated between Japan and the United Kingdom in the buildup to World War II, some Japanese left their home country to settle in Britain while many more returned to Japan. Following the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor and assault on Hong Kong in December 1941, 114 Japanese men including expatriate businessmen and merchant seamen were detained as enemy aliens on the Isle of Man.*****

So right back strategy for next season

Veltman - Hope he stays, but may decide to head home to see his career out. Lots of injury this season, so even if he stays, call him 0.5 of a right back

Lamptey - Again question marks with him leaving given his dwindling contract. Personally I have a feeling he'll be offered and sign a new deal. Bigger question marks as to his fitness and whether he'll be asked to fit in in another position to mitigate some injury crisis elsewhere. Call him 0.3 of a right back

Hinsh - Longer term, you would imagine he's a CM, but maybe this RB experiment has been so successful he'll forge his career there. No evidence yet that he'll get continued niggly injuries. Call him 0.6 of a right back.

Offiah i'm not counting. Looks a year away to me. Champo loan.

So we have 1.4 right backs. 1.5 if you add Milner. Given the way this season has gone, that's not nearly enough. we need another one. And I wouldn't discount 2.

The only thing to add, is that i'm not discounting us reverting to be a permanent 3 at the back team, meaning we'd be looking for a different type of player. I only say that because I look at the players we are bringing in. Barco, looks the wing backiest wing back i've seen since Le Saux. Solly, Pervis and Hinsh and Tariq look to me to have similar qualities. Igor looks a LCB in a 3, Joel looks a RCB in a 3. With a summer to think and work on it, I reckon that could be a thing.

RB is one of two priorities in my view.

Veltman hasn't looked as assured as he usually does and I think we need someone more dynamic.
Lampty as far as I can see has lost his killer weapon which is pace. Never been the strongest defender and now appears to be bit make shift. Injuries aren't his fault but I don;t think he can be relied on.
Hinch looks solid at RB but again I think he may well be a MF and don;t know how he will react to his injury woes.

My concern is that he is almost 24 and been playing in the Eredivisie for some years now, but no big clubs have yet come calling. If he was top drawer you would have thought he'd at least be at Ajax, PSV or Feyenoord.

And if he is being bought as a back-up to Hinshelwood then is he any better than Lamptey?

He's good enough, right style, right age, right price........ makes too much sense to happen sadly.

There's also a great Japanese CB at USG but assume we're not allowed to buy him?

Not until the January window.

Anyone know why the restirctions caused by both BHA and USG being in the Europa extended to the end of this summer's window?

I’m in as I fingered this guy for us on NSC a number of months ago. 😀

Right sided playmaker with plenty of pace.
I didn't ask you to finger him. It was your decision.

Unfortunately Lamptey just doesn’t seem to consistently be fit, or have the quality of defending that’s needed for a top 10 side. As an attacking wing back he’s kind of effective, but defensively he’s not upto it. We looked incredibly vulnerable down that side when he came on against Newcastle. If we have the luxury in the squad of having space for a specialist wing back, but nothing more then fine, but I doubt he would be happy with that. I would say move him on if possible and bring in someone better to share duties with Veltman and Hinsh, which also allows us to see Hinsh in CM.
