Hereford away. I was also one of the (it seems about 35,000) albion fans who were there that day and can corroborate what has been said.

It was different to the others though. The celebration was more akin to a death row prisoner who's just been given an 11:59pm reprieve from the governor. There were tears of relief before the sickening realisation that we had a long time to hold out whilst playing terribly.

The McShane one, that was a bit more catharsis. Like we'd had them lording it over us for as long we could remember and now we could give some back.

Buckley was the exact same emotion. It was the ultimate f you to Archer and Belotti and the many who opposed us and doubted us

The Liverpool cup one, that was just about the pride in having gone there against a very good opponent and fought back for a replay with a very good performance and goal

As others have said, Johnny Byrne equaliser at Anfield, Ulloa at Forest and can I add in the equaliser at Peterborough in the Cup, in the snow, right in front of a frighteningly over-crowded, terrace, with a roof, packed with 5000+ of us! Who scored it? Fashanu? Steve Jacobs?

At St James's Park, Newcastle the seaon we got promoted to the old first division. We'd had a (very) good lunch between the ratilway station and the ground, and every time we scored I managed to fall off the seat. Can't remember now if it was three or four goals for Albion but certainly one of the best days ever. Oh, and that train journey back to London - incredible!

For me it was Danny Cullip's bullet header against the cheats.
The first time in my lifetime the Albion had won something.

It was 3 Albion goals. Also throws up one of favourite football weird things.

Last game of the season 78/79, Newcastle 1-3 Brighton Away team won promotion.

Last game of the season 83/84, Newcastle 3-1 Brighton Home team won promotion.

And one player scored in both games.

I can offer something a bit different by way of McShane at Palace celebrations - I was in the back row of the stand and finished up one row down, lying on the concrete with Sir Alex Ferguson's ex-daughter in law.

She had never seen the Albion before and for various reasons I don't think she saw them again.

When leaving the ground at the end I found a bright red wooden seat back on the ground and to my slight shame it's still in the garage.

Johnny Byrne's equaliser against the mickeys in the FA cup is a great shout, there is nothing quite like a diving header in front of the away end.

I think with Reinelt against Hereford I was still too anxious to really go nuts, and the celebrations really began at the final whistle, and on the drive back, and in the pub at home. I wonder if the tit that got Reinelts' boots posts on here.

As for random ones, I remember a partisan North Stand erupting when a Mike Small header clinched a 3-2 win against Plymouth Argyle, circa 1991. I seemed to magically pass through two lots of crush barriers!

The video quality is shit but Hereford aside ( nothing can better that!) this for me, Jimmy Case thunderbolt. Just look at the players in that Liverpool side AND we did it at Anfield. My best ever away day win, I went nuts
