Good thread!

I won't do the pictures as they're al already on here but IMHO:

Argentina stripes is the worst ever. It's the wrong colour and when I mentioned it on the other thread I'd forgotten the black seagull! Absolutely woeful.

Next is the SS kit at the top of the thread. On early ones the sponsors logo was a really horrible white felt patch, which most people ripped off in the end. There was a bit of wrangling over the sponsor at the time, Donatello was DK's preferred sponsor so someone made a load of stickers to stick on the Sandtex patch! :lolol:
Also when you actually wear this kit, the collar is dreadful.

The Kurt Nogan thin stripes in 3rd. I've still got mine in the loft but it's far too small so I'm saving it for my lad, reckon I've got about 10 years until it fits!

3)The ‘Argentina’ shirt - weird coloured stripes, black seagull and the stripes did not even go to the bottom of the front of the shirt. I am sure it made Turienzo feel at home but it was shithouse

2)This mess, red tick what’s the point in that and, no collar, white sleeves and the rest just dull dull dull

1) this seasons - what were they thinking?

The pinstripe kits actual manufacturing is disgusting. We got a BTEC version of a half decent template, so the disrespect for that alone makes it one of the worst.

The IT First kit balance is all off but generally I liked Errea efforts.

While the current kit is hilarious and the design thoroughly debatable at least it isn't as bad as the 14/15 and 15/16 iron on sponsor kits. With all the anticipation of a good nike kit, for me these were the most disappointing home kits of all time for us. Perhaps I'm just used to being disappointed, but like with our first PL kit at the Amex, it might be a grower. It won't be legendary but it isn't the end of the world and for me not in the 3 worst ever. I don't like it, I won't buy it and I want Nike gone but it is what it is.

Every shirt has been a disappointment since Inter Milan 1993/94.
It set the bar too high.

wasn't the Argentina kit the result of a mix up by Errea who erroneously made it in the wrong colour?

Does anyone know what the actual kit design/sign off process is?

Do we have an in house designer who gives a sketch to the manufacturer and they go away and make it?

Do the kit manufacturers present the club with a selection of options and we choose the one we like the best/dislike the least?

Are the club presented with rough ideas and they suggest changes or details?

1).The second hand Chelsea kit of the 1980s;
2).The all-blue with white pin-stripes of a couple of yeard ago:
3). Any other shirt that isn't proper straightforward blue and white stripes (without any surplus bits of yellow the manufacturer is trying to get rid of).

At the end of my tether
The best shirt for years was last season…. Good solid stripes no nonsense. I liked the aqua away shirt too.
This one is awful… It looks a little better on the players than on the first pic in this thread , but still horrible.

How anyone mentioned the 1997/98 monstrosity yet? Hideous

The first shirt we had at Gillingham was fittingly horrid. I'm not a fan of this year's either but the worst for me is this from 2004/5...

Back in the days when I actually used to buy the current season's replica shirt, this one lasted a day before I took it back to the club shop. That white gap on the bottom!
Yes indeed, the insipid shade of blue, and lack of a proper club badge didn't exactly sell it to me either. To be honest that looks like a drawing that some primary kid had made.

All about messing with the stripes for me. Didn't like the all blue shirt much but at least it was solid.
