Must admit, my mojo is around the 6 mark and just hoping we don't concede in the first 7 minutes against Chelsea. We put down a marker with Lallana, White and Veltman and made room by releasing players and reeling in some funds starting with Knockie. I have faith in Potter and he is putting his own team together, quite rightly. The players seem to love his methods. If we had found a goalscoring forward to fire the imagination, I'd probably be an 8 or even 9. If Jahanbaksh is that player I'll be even happier after a couple of games. But, at the moment my mojo is lying low, despite my huge anticipation for the Chelsea match.
Saves me writing anything.

Spot on. Currently far lower than it should be before the first game of an exciting new season. There is one reason for that. Top 10 defence. Top 10 midfield. Bottom 3 strike force. Frankly, unforgivable,

Never one to knowingly avoid hyperbole are you. It's not unforgivable. Check your benchmarks and find another word.

We potentially will see a starting XI featuring 4 or 5 players that have come through development at the club. It's a fantastic turnaround from wondering when Lancing was going to start delivering talent.

We strengthened our creativity with the addition of Lallana. This is coupled with both Trossard and Bissouma undoubtedly kicking on this year.

Our strike force is sound with Maupay and Connolly. I would be 8 or 9 if we bought a striker in, but we could still see a turnaround for Andone, and Gyokeres step up following his loan spell in Germany. It's not the disaster some people are painting.

Currently 7 but depends how we get on tonight. Shouldn’t really pin so much on one game, but mojos tend to be quite bouncy. Lose 4:0 and we’re all under 5, win 2:0 with a Connolly brace and we’re all on 9 or 10.

Hovered somewhere between 7 and 8 (rounded my vote up to 8). The squad is stronger, players did well in the post-lockdown restart who I hope carry on (Lamptey, Biss), I think we're better placed going into a PL season this time around than we have been in any of our previous ones. If we could secure a striker then it would jump up to 9.

Brighton factually.....
Steady 6, the lack of any positive forward news is a slight concern and we do look very light weight up front.

I would take a draw tonight, and hopefully Maupay scores tonight, which will increase his confidence and ours.

Steady 7. We've got some good depth in our squad in every area....... bar one.
Very good players without superstars (dickheads).
Would be higher with an incoming forward, but also think/hope we will see more goals from elsewhere. Mr Dunk has said GP is a tactician, and no doubt thdy will have been working on it.
Maupay scored 10 last season, maybe 15 this season? Who knows. Both Connolly and Trossard should score more as well......
...... but then again, they may not. Wilson scored for Newcastle yesterday on his debut. He may not score again between now and Christmas. Who knows!

6 for me. Keen to see Lallana and hoping at least some of White, Bissouma, MacAllister, Molumby, Alzate et al can really progress this season. My concern is lack of goals and that long winless stretch before lockdown. We were hopeless and, until lockdown, I couldn't see Potter turning things round. I think that run gets a bit forgotten with everything that's gone on since. Let's hope it was a blip.

Well said - im a 6 and a lack of goals definitely a big concern - need a big striker asap

Never so low , 4 at best , yup we can watch it on tv but a massive part of following a football club is actually being there and the excitement of the day , until supporters are back in the stadiums my mojo won't improve much , however bad or well we do on the pitch .

This in a nutshell .

I went for 9 marking this mainly on the Albion football wise and not looking at the wider picture of Covid and no fans etc as such.

Massively excited about the Albion this season and in particular watching Lamptey, Alzate and Bissouma play as I think all 3 are absolute top quality and not sure how many more seasons they'll be with us. Also looking forward to watching Maupay, Trossard, Mac Allister and Connolly's progression after promising first season's in the league and how White and Veltman settle in to the side. I also think this will be March's best season for us yet.

I'm also one of the few that whilst I would like us to sign a forward and specialist LB/LWB, I'm not actually worried if we don't.

Despite my first sentence, marked down 1 as watching the football this weekend did really remind me that it just isn't the same without fans and how much I miss going.

I’d bite your hand off for a draw . This Chelsea side are much stronger than last year . They have spent nearly £200m pre season ! A point would be a very very good result .

Same as most others really, around a 6.
Was flying high when we went after Lallana and veltman early doors and then retained White and Dunks new contract. It's all fallen a bit flat with the lack of striker again. Tonight's game will be tough but it's one of free hit kind of games, take something from it and the mood will change for the best. As long as we don't get properly spanked then all is as expected.

Same! No issues with the he Albion, and will back in flash once we can go to games, but can't say I have much interest in football at all the moment.

I would imagine no one likes this situation, players, supporters, managers, catering staff, stewards but all clubs are the same and the skeleton game that has been presented to us will shape our footballing future, be it improvement, relegation, going bust ect ect. We may not like it but we have to accept it and try and support our team in the best way we can. For me that's enthusiastic debate on here and the workplace. Let's hope our team can reward us with some good performances and avoid relegation in these horribly troubled times.

Come on you SUPER SEEEEEAAAGGGGUUUULLLLS

Sorry but at moment only 3. Obvious problem is upfront. Just hope Maupay stays fit as dont think Connelly has yet proved he is up to it. Whilst most would like to see an upgrade on Stevens fact is he is our only natural holding midfielder. Bassouma did job last year sometimes which was a shame because he is a natural attacking player.like most of our midfielders.
Who do you think should play holding role ?

Lower than I’d expected but I think
I’m just really over the no crowd thing more than any desperate on field issues.

Wow, I’m certainly no happy clapper but am far more positive than most here.

8/10 for me.
Would be 9/10 if we sign a striker (and I still think we will near end of the window)

Excited to see how Ben White and Molumby perform in the squad, and we have so many legit talents now who will only get better.

Lamptey
Maupay
Leo
Biss
Mac
Aaron

And then we have our own South Coast Pirlo Lallana.

Plus Mr Graham Potter. I think he and his team would have learned a lot last season and can also improve.

We may lose tonight, but that doesn’t change any of the above. We are a club on the up.
