I missed Dougie. To me he is a small and insignificant fish in the football pond. If he'd never been up the road, he'd be 'who?'

I know it *should* be the baggy-eyed obnoxious davies but there's something about the smug **** Adkins that makes me want to punch the television.

Can we do pundits next please (nominate Savage) ?

My first thoughts would be Davies followed by Adkins but after considerable thought it has to be Nigel Pearson. He comes across as an arrogant, smarmy, pompous, self righteous tosser who because of his ever increasing budget and team size, seems to think that his team merely has to turn up to win the points ( granted they are doing so at the moment ) but when they have lost he is not gracious in defeat, to the opposition and when his team wins he has a look of smug superiority that you just want to punch him. So in the smugness/up your own arse stakes, Pearson is the clear winner.

Davies seems to have slipped under my radar - there's obviously a good deal of animosity towards him but I can't recall him saying anything to offend Brighton fans. I certainly don't get the dislike of Holloway: I agree that his bumpkin schtick can be a bit tiresome but given the problems in his family and his undoubted devotion as a husband and father, I couldn't possibly hate him; he strikes me as a well-rounded and decent individual.

It's interesting to speculate as to what such a poll would look like on other fans' sites, certainly the dislike of Adkins, Freedman and Holloway wouldn't be replicated outside the Sussex boundaries. I can't see Oscar featuring very highly either but Poyet definitely would haven been up there

Davies just looks like he needs a slap.
When he opens his gob it just makes it even more essential that he is double slapped.
Followed by a final slap just cos I said so.

Pretty easy I thought....

Freedman - Anyone who walks away from Palace leaving them in the lurch must get some brownie points. Not a particulalrly good manager but I feel just meh! to him.
.
Holloway - Ive always liked his interviews and felt a bit sorry for him after Palace. He also kept away from the Albion implosion last summer... he could have stuck the knife in. Annoying at times though.

Howe - A bit of a scamp but generally a good guy and seemingly very loyal to team and players. Has to be a bit less arsy though sometimes.

Rednapp - Knows how to spend money... for the rest.... meh!

Davies - Possibly the most annoying manager IN THE WORLD. His interviews just make me want to put my arm through the telly or comp screen and wring his neck. The owner of Forest are bloody masochists. Totally disloyal and has an excuse for everything. And his record.... no of pormotions? Shoo-in. Nightmare.

Pearson - Boring at interviews... boring tactis and style of play but has got it working.....seems to be quite honest too. meh.

Clark - Was a bit of a wanker when in league 1 but since then seems to be ok. Meh.

Adkins - OK yes, pushes Davies reasonably close. His snide (Look at me! Love me!!) arrogant comments really get up my nose but has been known to be honest and has been reasonably successful.

None of them.

Could care less about any of them, and not interested in what they say or do.

The only manager that matters is ours.

Lee Clark is the non-runner in this. I can't remember ever being annoyed by him, and he did at least respect the Albion after we won League One. While I agree with the comment about Eddie Howe, he is still small fry compared to some of the monumental twats on the list, so I'm not considering him either.

Then it gets really hard. I suspect Davies is the one who actually is a genuinely vile and disgusting person in real life, even away from their job, but he's never had a flash point against the Albion which counts in his favour in my mind. Redknapp doesn't bother me really, it's just funny to see him flounder with five times as much money as any other team in the division. Adkins is the guy who learned how to be a football manager from a textbook, which is nauseating, and his attempts at mind games in 2010-11 were pitiful. Dougie will always be scum to me for the way he celebrated Palace's third goal in the 3-1 at The Amex right in front of me, and I feel sick just looking at his greasy, unwashed hair and weasel face on the TV. So like most I strongly dislike most of them, but I'm going to go for Holloway as my overall winner. From the planned comedy routines to the little beard I'd love to rip from his face, the way he's carved out a semi-decent reputation despite being an utterly shite manager and the horrible sense of self-importance, he ticks plenty of boxes for me as someone it's so easy to hate.

I remember him giving it the Billy Big Bollox when Huddersfield beat us at their place a few years ago, he was on the pitch after the final whistle geeing up the crowd, so I've disliked him since. But as soon I read the question to this thread, the first 2 words to enter my head were Billy and Davies, a 24 carat c0ck.

Adkins for me..but Billy Davis is a close second...
Don't get the Eddie Howe bit..he is someone I wouldn't have minded taking on the Albion..might not be up to it having seen Burnley experience, but I like his approach...

I think Adkins is a really good manager.

And impossible to hate Holloway. When he tries too hard, he can be annoying, but he's naturally a very funny man.

As has been said on numerous occasions, if you don't say Billy Davies, you have failed.

(Shame Neil Warnock isn't still around!)

That is a shocking statement you have come out with there. You need to look yourself in the mirror Sir!

Billy Davies currently has 41% of the total vote. Which, considering we've yet to have any direct conflict with him (compared to, say, Nigel Adkins), and bearing in mind that his media presence is far less than someone like Redknapp, seems to me to be a quite spectacular reflection of what an unpleasant little man he is.
