I've been mulling a desk purchase for a considerable time as I just can't make my mind up as to what I want.

All pictures of your own home working space would be appreciated, as well as the good and bad points, to give me some inspiration.

I have been sat at the end of a dining table with a laptop for too long. But we are moving house soon so hope to have my own office which will then be adorned with BHAFC type stuff.

On a serious note, invest in a good CHAIR.

Whilst they are pricey, a Herman Miller is excellent.

My setup :

Desk is a piece of worktop cut to size and mounted on 2x2 bolted to the wall. I'd like to have a bigger monitor for the mac-mini but space doesn't allow.

Good points Ergonomically balanced plus easy to view screen Bad points eyesight deteriorating rapidly (other factors may be involved).

To add to the ambience I have this playing on a constant loop ..

I don’t have one yet. At the moment I rent with my fiancée so my desk and PC is in our living room, however, in just over a month we’ll be moving into our own house and we've agreed that bedroom number three is going to be an office. Schwing!

Setting up my home office in what had been the third bedroom got me into deep trouble with the young Miss Bracknell (who had moved out a long time earlier):-

"What the hell have you done to my bedroom?"

Get the desk height right, so your shoulders aren't raised when typing.

I hope to get the walls plastered and painted shortly.......

I could plaster them in about a minute. Would probably need several coats though.
