Almost too many to mention, or even think about, but off the top of my head mine would include:

Pulp fiction
Trainspotting
All about my mother
The happiest days of our lives
Casino Royale
Passport to Pimlico
The bone collector
Changing lanes (stellar performance from Samuel L Jackson, why didn't he get an oscar for it?)
Mystic River
Mrs Brown
The untouchables
Cool Runnings

I didn't get 12 monkeys...neither did any of the half a dozen or so people who I went to the cinema with, we were so confused that we had to go into a bar afterwards to drink copious amounts of alcohol to see if that helped us get the plot...from memory, it made no difference whatsoever.

The trick is to drink copious amounts of alcohol whilst watching it, it all becomes much clearer :)

If I'd realised we were doing full-length anime too that would definitely been on my list, absolutely amazing film :)
