In a pile of football shirts
Them Crooked Vultures at Brixton Academy (although I went with my mum), then the first one I went fully on my own, I saw Franz Ferdinand at the roundhouse in London.
Saw Them Crooked Vultures at the Hammersmith Odeon (Made to Parade tour?). Thought they were excellent on the night and I think they were a bit different to the norm which is why it was disappointing that they didn't carry on.

Mine for a benefit gig for a cancer charity I believe, Fantastic album, shame they've never reformed.

A Crack House
First one was shit. Madonna in Paris. She mimed and someone let off teargas. Not my idea, I was over there on a French exchange and the French kid's parents got the tickets.

Once I hit 18 I had a run of going to see baggy / indie bands at The Zap. Saw Ocean Colour Scene (very early version of), Flowered Up, Bridewell Taxis and Northside within months of each other. No idea now which was first, but Flowered Up was properly mental, full of lads who were faces at the Goldstone smashing round a huge, inflatable can of Red Stripe.
I was at the Flowered Up one.

It's still the best concert I've ever been to, at Ullevi, Gothenburg in 1985. Didn't even have any of his albums and haven't seen him live since then. It was some guy called Bruce Springsteen.
Walked past Ullevi ( and Gamle Ullevi) last Friday afternoon. You can still see the structural damage from that legendary June night you Bruuuuce loon Swedes caused!🤣

My wife was also there that night along with most of the rest of Sweden it would seem!
