The answer is Muppets Christmas Carol with honourable mentions to Elf and Scrooged.

Two of my new favourites aren't on that list: Four Christmases and Disney's A Christmas Carol (2010 version I think). I can't believe I like a modern Disney film but it's VERY good with the dialogue lifted almost word for word from the book. My only criticism is that there are some totally superflous chases which I guess have been added to make the 3D version more exciting.

EDIT: Jim Carrey did the voice of Scrooge, so is the Disney one listed as 'A christmas carol -carrey' Uncle?

It was a close call for me Elf or Home Alone...went with elf.

Die Hard being me favourite movie of all time but as a xmas film would go Elf!

Ah is that time again? When people kick up a massive fuss if Muppet's doesn't win.

I have never really considered Gremlins a Christmas film but it gets my vote

Polar Express.

I know it's Christmas when we all snuggle up on the sofa to watch that one.
