Seeing england fail to quailfy for euro 2008, and seeing the england rugby team beating Austrialia and then france in the world cup

BHA v Southend for live sport event.

For tv, England getting a try (disallowed doesn't detract from it, that's just an opinion I prefer not to agree with), while S.A. didn't get past our lads once, in a World Cup Final we 'weren't supposed to' get to. Beating France and Aus. was great too.

And for political moment - the sweaty socks stinking their way oot of Euro 08. Ha

Ha.

Israel beating Russia in the Euro 2008 qualifiers to give England a life line (I thought this would mean we'd qualify against all odds, I didn't realise our pansy national team would choke at home in the next match).

Leeds United getting relegated from the Championship (how I laughed when this happened, sort of made up for our own dismal season).

Apart from that, not many sporting highlights for me in 2007, it hasn't been the best year for sport.

Across the pond
Harrington winning the open. Europe get the "No majors" monkey off their back, and the yank golf media have to come up with something else to carp about in an attempt to take attention away from the fact that they keep getting stuffed at the Ryder cup.
