I once went to a Jam concert and didn't bother to watch The Jam (seen them a few times though). At the time I was following a band, Acopalypse, who were 3rd on the bill that day at Wembley Arena behind Big Country & The Jam.

After the Acopalypse set it was down to the bar, never got round to watching the others.

What a waste (as I. Dury might say)! I was there too. Don't remember anything about Apocalypse but I do remember Big Country and the Jam both being excellent.

Anyway, I'm off in a minute to go and see Bruce Foxton in Stiff Little Fingers. Brooooooooce!!!! What a man!!! I expect they'll do the usual one Jam cover. I certainly hope so.

I was there too.
Remember walking out of the centre soaked in sweat, still wondering why they were splitting-up. Still haven't forgiven Weller.
Can you remember the last song they played? I think it was Funeral Pyre with an extended drum solo by Buckler, but my memory is not so good.

I met Paul Weller while I worked at Shelleys Hotel in Lewes. It was during his Style Council days and I spent the whole evening making sandwiches for him and his roadies. He was a bit of a miserable git really.

I prefer his solo stuff - A Brand New Start is my fave
