That just looks like the old national team away strip.

It looks like an off-the-shelf design and it does not have a badge. I've been to crappy corporate inter-company football tournaments where folk have had shirts like this made up.

Yes. And the Olympiastadion is such a majestic venue I can even overlook the athletics track. Quite partial to 1860 too.

Yes, am amazing stadium. As are the grounds surrounding it. The Olmypic diving pool along side is quite stunning and still fully operational...in the summer. I once did a race and got to run through the marathon gate (the gap at the east end) down the step and did a lap of the running track.

Me and mates have managed to cover quite a few bundesliga games in different stadiums over the years, but my favourite was Koln, followed closely by little ol freiburg. I always find the games miss the prematch atmosphere outside that english games can have, but once you are in the stadium and those massive organised chants go up - then its excellent.

Loved the fact that away attendances could be made up of lots of different club supporters in their respective club colours who have united against a common foe.

FC St Pauli have become a bit of a cliche recently, but I have been going over to see them sporadically since 1992 so can't really give up now! Also a soft spot for 1.FC Union Berlin (I like underdogs, me).

Very strangely for someone who likes St. Pauli, I have a mate in Dresden and have seen SG Dynamo quite a few times live, though have always baulked a bit at supporting them - they are the Millwall of Germany these days.

It's great that so many on here realise how much fun the Bundesliga is - big terraces, cheap prices, beer. The atmosphere knocks the Premiership out completely. Having been to the unbelievable opening of the new Dynamo stadium (flares and all, an evening game against Schalke), I'm actually embarassed about asking my mate if he wants to come to our opening in return. He will think it's so tame, however emotional we are.

Anyway... Viva die Sozialromantiker! Bring back St Pauli!

(Mr. Thimble Keegan, worth having a chat about this sometime!)

Didn't FC Union fans quite literally build their new stadium? Always fancied popping over to see them.

Koln of course has a very nice cathedral with arguably the best stained glass window in the world. If I had my way I’d take every single member of The Regency Society to see it to demonstrate that you can combine old and new in a complimentary manner and such juxtaposition does not always mean ‘out of keeping.’

The Kolsch is damn fine as well.

Yes they did. They utilised a number of skills and disciplines from within their fanbase to drastically reduce the cost of a rebuild.

I have seen them a couple of times but did not like the very visible White Power supporters amongst their number. The Hauptstadt Mafia are much more fun.

Yep - the kolsch certainly swayed me towards koln and it helped that I was going out with a girl from there too!!

It's nice, very fresh. I like the fact they provide it in a small glass and the staff continualy walk around with those tray things and give you a new glass when you're near the bottom....and look down on the Bayern for their 10 litre steins. 'the beer will be not be fresh when you reach the bottom'

I saw Hertha play there a few years back. Great city, Durer and Modern Art museums are a must, tons of sausage restaurants, beer halls, the best Xmas market there is, and a cracking heavy metal pub I stumbled upon. Oh, and every girl seems to be pretty, skinny and have a penchant for tight jeans and boots.

SC Freiburg. I have a few friends from there and have watched them several times. Proper yo yo club they are. The German West Brom you might say.

yep. that pretty much sums it up. my sis lived just round the corner from the hauptmarkt so all that on the doorstep. was there during spargel week once as well - strangely pale asparagus everywhere you looked! and special 'spargel only' menus in restaurants
