I'm really into old war films so i would answer :
The Longest day, Schindlers List, Sands of Iwo Jima (1949), Dam Busters

It just shows some of the horrors what people had to live through in world war two, and puts into perspective the trivial things that people seem to worry about in modern life, (ie, which model of mobile to get etc..)
