Grace Jones - The Compass Point Sessions.

Sly and Robbie, Trevor Horn, Chris Blackwell all had an input into this phenomenally good album.

Norah Jones - Come Away With Me.
Amy Winehouse - Frank (prefer it to back in Black, cos it's more jazzy)

Isn't that the one that includes the most (unintentionally) hilarious song in history, 'Ironic'? Nothing in the song is actually ironic, except perhaps for the fact that the writer doesn't understand the meaning of the word.

Have you been watching an Ed Byrne stand-up routine recently by any chance?

No, but just found it on youTube. Great minds and all that.

I remember the dull girlfriend of a friend of mine criticising our taste in music and saying we were too thick to like "amazing" stuff like Alanis Morissette. Unfortunately she picked the aforementioned "Ironic" to play us as an illustration of said amazingness. I don't think my laughing out loud was quite the reaction she'd hoped for. I'd like to report that my mate saw the error of his ways at that point but I'm afraid love is deaf as well as blind ...

Grey Will Fade - Charlotte Hatherley. Mostly because without that album I would never have got married.
