Possible pedantry moment: isn't it Ratcliffe-on-Soar? I seem to remember it being in the news thanks to some protesters in the last year or so...

Lincoln cathedral for me. Built on top of one of the only hills in the area so you can see it for miles no matter which way you approach it from. Seeing it means I'm almost home. Also beautiful and once the tallest building in the world - take that Shard!

Well I was going to but I'd been accused of being biased. Shame its getting more expensive to cross, will be up to a quid by the end of the year. They only realised in the last 5-10 years that the piers that the two towers rest on are actually a hollow honeycombe style structure and as a result they need a lot more maintaining than previous thought.

You'll be able to see our new ground from it... *hopefully*
