The gentleman a couple in from the left in the second row, in the military uniform, is my great grandfather.

I never met him, but there he was watching what would become my club roughly a century ago.

1922 NSC comment:

'I notice there are three WOMEN in that photograph. We must put a stop to all this left wing balderdash'

I wonder if Nobby was just further back down the field at the time.

Nobody is looking at him, they're all looking elsewhere.

Great Pic

so many gone but not forgotten heroes.
In 30 years time, today's younger fans will be reminiscing about them, like my age group do with Horton/Ward/Lawrenson et al.

I am troubled by the apparition of a young lad, three rows back and parallel to the Bristol R sign.
