Mustn’t forget that this is the quietest January window in years for everyone. Financial fair play rules kicking in big time. Not just a Brighton thing
We've made a c£150m transfer profit over the last three years. As one of few clubs not having to worry about FFP, you'd have thought now would be the perfect time to make signings... I know it's not that simple, but in theory.

Bloom doesn’t like the January transfer window. In short anyone who is any good will not leave an existing club unless you overpay for him. We don’t overpay. End of.

Yes there has been the odd exception over the years but generally they only sign kids in January who we will hopefully see one day.

Personally I’m happy with that. It works.

This January window is different.

There could be the sort of value for money signings available as certain clubs look to get their FFP/PRS calculations in order. The Everton points deduction has suddenly made it all real for teams.

Today is the day if we are going to bag any bargains.

Surely we should, surely we won't,tb doesn't do January.
“TB doesn’t do January” is a myth. Plenty of players have come in as signings or loans. Kayal, Knockaert, Buonnanote, Pocognoli, Locadia, Tomori, Barco, off the top of my head.

TB likes value and with a lot of clubs needing to sell and unable to buy because of FFP and European financial pressure, it’s never been a better time to buy players without competition from other Prem clubs. Will be a big opportunity missed if we nothing happens imo.

It is also a day to use the opportunity for value to boost our European qualification for next season on three fronts - Premier League, Europa League and FA Cup.
