RDZ gone but club is a great place, loads of talent, many players still developing and we will attract a top manager

We have cash to spend on the right opportunity

8 - surprising myself with now zen I am about De Zerbi going. He was always going to go, sooner or later. I have complete faith in Bloom and Barber.

Anyone saying they are pleased he is gone is an absolute idiot. Be careful what you wish for.
A sweeping statement by yourself .
What do you think would have happened if he had stayed? After all that has happened lately, it wouldn’t be a fairytale ‘live happily ever after’ story. Bloom really had no option than to part company.
Fans may not necessarily be pleased he is gone, but given the circumstances and taking into account the long term wellbeing of the club, (and no one does that more than Bloom) an awful lot of ‘idiots’ will be relieved.

Glad we can start next year with someone accepting our business model, been a crap 2024 after a stunning 2023.
Time for a change, and we have it.

SEVEN!

Flat.

I’m not sure whether you can class the RDZ period as an era ? more a puff of smoke in a damp tent from some distant fete of yore… a magician, resplendent in starry raiments… but far more smoke and mirror than Gandalfian legitimacy…

Indeed: “you SHALL pass, and pass and pass and pass…”

Flat…

But hark! A new era beckons (again) yey…

Mercenaries galore, sign your 5 (2 shhhhhh say no more!) year deal here… glory beckons… for you, whilst we languish always looking up whilst our starlets take to the sea… sailing towards legendary shores…

Flat

But wait … THIS time it’ll be different, yet somehow the same… but that’s the key to know your place snobbery, for all else leads to entitlement and therein lies only bitter resentment… better to learn sooner than late that our ceiling is polished so clear… look, you can see the dizzy heights we (alas) have no right to dream to reach.

Be grateful for this song, such bittersweet symphony, has no ending…

Onward to blissful financially secure mediocrity !

We’re living the wet dream of the greyest of accountants…

know your place, and keep the faith !

Flat.

Yey !

Has it been destroyed by our end of season implosion and departure of RDZ or are you basing it on how you think we might do next season?

I am reasonably positive but I have hated the last few months as most games were a really frustrating watch, but we do have some excellent young players who will have benefited from the game time. We will also be making some decent signings I’m sure

Excites to see who our new manager is too

I am a glass half full 6
It is what it is.

Someone better (at getting us closer to winning something with the resources provided) is incoming.

Very happy with that.

7 for me. Probably a mark higher than it might have been if De Zerbi was staying as I think next season would have brought more of the same. Unsettling speculation if we started well. Persistent moaning if we were struggling. Best to start afresh and look to get the best from some oustanding young players supplemented, I hope, by some sensible signings.

Very pleased that De Zerbi is leaving now. Dreadful end to the season and it's entirely this manager's fault.
I did laugh but....you are entirely correct.

And I say that as a massive RDZ fan.

3 - lost MOJO in Rome. Due to other commitments would not have attended many other games but decided to call it quits anyway and not regretted.

Form has been dire in second half of season; we are 15th in H2 League with 18 points, only 5 more than Burnley and 13 fewer (18 vs. 31) than Palace. The attacking style has resulted in 17 goals in those 19 games (of which 2 were OGs and 9 in two games against Palace and Sheff U); only Everton scored fewer (16). It will take some recovery to be safe from relegation; Europe is a fantasy IMO.

It is partly about injuries of course, but the lack of quality squad depth is a result of the TB way. I have doubts about early next season whoever is in charge.

I’ve loved not going. And relax.

Missing the Villa win was the sum total of “Wouldn’t have minded being there”.

Not just me, this season from October on the park n ride going to games, chatting with folk there was often a “WTF” when the team was announced. A collective chins hitting the bus deck at the selection of poor FB’s or a gaggle of painfully slow/junior CM’s.

I can't put a number on it but i continually disillusioned with the football world and those that inhabit it. From players to managers, commentators and followers.
I am perfectly comfortable with our place in it but i think we missed a massive opportunity to tweak the noses of the entitled this domestic season.
Marseille away will live with me forever.

I've put myself down as a 2. The uncertainty and worry that the search for a new manager brings plus it will take time for him to bed in his ideas - so a slow start early new season to be expected. Add to that the possibility of our injured players taking a very long time to recover (DeZerbi said this week that Ferguson probably won't be back until October !!! will Solly ever return ??) . Will we lose our best players in the Summer as we are a "selling Club". The poor quality of our back up players - as shown today in a totally inept second half performance. And Palace looking good.

My only glimmer of joy was Sussex CCC winning a game they looked set to lose - Oh Woe! is me.

Perhaps I should have put 1

6, and I consider that low.

largely as a result of today, as I was disappointed and annoyed - annoyed at losing to a feeble Manure, and wondering how much it might have been down to the timing of the announcement And how it might have affected the players.

but gathering that everything seems to have been resolved sensibly, and trusting the powers that be to make a good appointment, it’s likely to rise rapidly soon. I hate being in limbo with no one in control over the team matters, but if that has to happen, the timing couldn’t be better.
