Striker a la Muzza, but quicker and younger. That is the big one. LWB & AMN without losing any key players and the top 10 target is distinctly possible

Fiveways
We need a striker to line up alongaide/compete with Maupay and Connolly, with Murray taking a more backseat role, but still with a part to play.

Three CBs with two wingbacks means we need about nine quality defenders - Dunk, Webster, Burn, White, Veltman and Lamptey should be six of those. I think Bernardo and March are very good on the left, but neither have the role nailed down. Montoya and Duffy are fine in their positions, but are no longer the first or even second choice in their positions so may be time to move on. They would be good squad players though. Alzate can fill in at RB and, if they are here next season, Baluta, Ostigard and Clarke at CB. Not sure how good Cochrane is, as such, possibly a new LWB.

Central and defensive midfield is an area we're well stocked. Next season I'm hoping to see Bissouma, Alzate, Propper and perhaps Molumby being our main players here, with Stephens mostly on the bench. Were we to get AMN, his versatility would be incredibly useful during a game moving from CM toout wide, wingback, fullback or even centre back if needed. Baluta again could play here if he is at the club next season, and White has played here too.

AM and on the wing is where we will see the biggest changed I think. March, Izquierdo, Jahanbakhsk, Mooy, Gross, Lallana, Trossard and Mac Allister. I think we have enough quality here to let a few players go (either Mooy or Gross, Izquierdo or Ali) and not need to replace anyone, using the funds elsewhere.

Overall, a new ST is the main priority, then a LWB/LB, then a versatile CM. Keep Dunk. Allow a few of the squad members near the bottom of the pecking order to leave. Walton and perhaps Sanchez to become first team GK.

Yes, spot on. The only thing where I might depart from is that if we're really dreaming, we could add in a rapid, quality winger. Sarr would offer us something different from what we've got, but Liverpool are interested in him -- I'd be very surprised if he doesn't end up at a top ten club.

A striker who can shoot, hold up the ball, score from a header and has pace.

Ignoring the top 6 clubs there are not many players that would improve our squad and I believe we would be competitive with most sides even with our current squad.

Striker then a LB if required. If we find a useful attacking midfielder such as Brooks or a wider player like Deulofeu who is available then we should bring them in but we are almost ready for a push towards top 10

We will be too 10! Or that’s the plan anyway

1= ) Keep Dunk.
1= ) Sign a striker.

3 ) Sign a LWB

4 ) Sell a central midfielder ( from Pröpper, Stephens or Groß ). We are overcrowded there and paying too many wages to block emerging talents like Alzate and Molumby.

5 ) Further reduce the wage bill and increase the chances for emerging younger talent by selling Jahanbakhsh, Montoya, Duffy and March. If a LWB is bought, sell Bernardo.

6 ) Sell or loan out 2 of Button, Steele, Walton and Sanchez.

We'll get Covid reduced fees for some of the above, but the squad needs to be trimmed down and the saving of wages is important.

We may have numbers but do we have the quality? midfield is a real weakness imho.

Stephens, has been a great servant but is to often wooden, slow and going the wrong direction (would gladly upgrade). Proper, is a lightweight, easily brushed off the ball, anonymous against physical midfielders and whilst he can play, he's gone downhill massively this season and has been responsible for sloppy play/passes that conceded goals (gladly get rid), Mooy was fantastic on loan, looks half the player since permanent and looks slower, less dynamic and less effective than he once did (would keep but not a starter every week). Alzate (is possibly the future), Bissouma (is the future), Lallana (almost def starter if fit).

I'd say we need better. If you could combine Stephens Physicality with Proper's forward momentum, you may have a decent player, unfortunately their respective weaknesses are to often apparent.

Really I expect evolution not revolution. We have signed Lallana after all. I expect a Gross departure due to his non-Potterball lack of pace

Brooks is a talent and hard working, deulofeo is arguably more talented, but also a luxury player you wouldnt want in a scrap. No sign of running back or getting his shorts dirty.

Batshuayi could be an option, up for sale, physical 26, can play..... Plus Chelsea don't want him and do allegedly want two of our crown Jewell's. Batshuayi for White and 20+ million (with sell on bonus)?

Ben White signs contract extension, Chelsea come in for Dunk, Dunk says he loves Brighton to much and wants to see out his career with us, Oliver Giroud says he wants to move to Brighton, ( he's head was turned last season at the Amex), we get good money for Duffy to Celtic, AJ to Holland, Clarke back to Derby on loan, and a couple of loans to Leeds of course ( feeder club).

I kind of get the Giroud thing
BUT is he much younger than GM ?
And on ridiculous wages

Apart from White, everybody seems very keen to forget/phase out our young players breaking through - Alzate, Connolly, Molumby and Clarke don't seem to figure in anyone's plans.
I wonder if GP, TB and DA see it the same way?
I was thinking the same... plus we also have Gyokeres(?) who is highly regarded.

The club is now beyond what any of us could have hoped for only 5 years ago.

We have a youth development ethos about the club that shows prospects that if they are good enough they will be allowed to realise their full potential with this club. What a difference to the way Dirty Leeds are conducting themselves.

No, we need centre backs and the more the merrier if we are to achieve our goal of complete world domination of the international centre back market.

I think the possibility of Leeds getting any loan signings from us from now on is zero.
