Your choice of birthday tea as a kid

Inspired by Dave The Gaffer's thread...

When you were a kid and your mum asked you what you wanted for tea on your birthday what did you choose?

My choice was either egg and chips (proper chips made by mum NOT oven chips!) - or what we used to call "bits and pieces - crisps, hard boiled eggs, ham, bread and butter, tomatoes etc

My sister always used to choose steak and kidney pudding!!

We used to always go to that french pancake restaurant in Hove called Cripes. I used to adore that place and I miss it now it's gone.

In terms of a special tea at home it would almost invariably be pizza of some sort or toad in the hole
