Indeed. But McShane and Ingimarsson were CLEARLY better.

And how anyone can pick Mayo literally beggars belief.

I thought Mayo did very well in the side that Ingimarsson played in, when he was effectively one of three centre backs.

Then again, Pethick looked very solid then too, therefore showing the abilities of Steve Coppell!

I picked Mayo, purely on the Coppell season performances.

McNulty looks promising but has only played about 6 games.
Jones played better in midfield I thought.

Other than that, we haven't really had many left backs, although Watson played both sides.

I'd agree with you, it's a bit of stretch to include someone who has only played six or so games for us.

Come to think of it, despite having quite the collection of centre backs, we've had very few right or left backs.
