I'm surprised some folk have the Peterborough United match in 1986. All I remember is being the coldest I have ever been at any football match. I reached the stage where I didn't care about the result, I just wanted to go home.
I took my missus to that, she was really cold so I gave her my jumper to wear leaving me with just a t-shirt. Brrrrrrrr....but at least we won!

I couldn't get off work (in Weymouth) to get to Newcastle but was at Brighton station when the train got back. Memory poor but something like 1am
The station was packed and crazy. The team were on the train with the fans.
Once everyone dispersed we had to figure how to get back to Burgess Hill. Train to Haywards Heath and walked home. Very drunk. very late.
Still upset that I missed that game. My biggest regret as an Albion fan.
was at Newcastle but my biggest regret was missing Hereford still don't know why I did

Have a memory of around 8 thousand Albion fans at Chesterfield for a last match of the season. I was pissed most of the day, so thoroughly enjoyed it. We needed to win to be Champions. We drew. Police thought the fans were getting on the pitch to celebrate promotion with the players, and realised their mistake when the Brighton fans went past the players towards the home end

If that was 77, Mullery's first promotion then your memory is a bit selective on the numbers who travelled.

Total gate that day was 8,212. It was the day Wardy claimed the club goalscoring record mind.

Most of these games were great at the end with a fantastic feeling, but during most of them it was torture and touch-and-go. Hereford absolutely not, nor Highbury, nor any of the Liverpools. It has to be a game that we were safely (more than 2-0, as I thought I thought I was in heaven with that score at QPR this season!) in front for so long that we could actually ENJOY the game itself. Probably Leicester couple of years ago, smashing some teams in the 70's and 80's, but I pick Peterborough with Gus. Never smiled as much, I pick that ahead of Charlton, the game before, as we have had some good days previously at Peterborough (the snow 2-2 and a couple of 2-1's two Christmases in a row).

Not the best but worth a mention the 4-3 defeat to Charlton in the late seventies. Home attendance rose from 6K to 18K and the huge terrace at the Old Valley was like a home form home but bigger and better.

Leeds three seasons ago when we got El Hadji Diuof sent off, and Ulloa scored a late winner to ensure a place in the play-offs was pretty good. Rowdy, exciting, right result.

Loved this one because just me and my son went (he was 6 at the time). Bloody brilliant day all round.

Mine has to be Hereford felt like we were going to war that day followed by Leicester away 1994 taking out a prem club.Stuart Monday scored an amazing goal.

Can't argue with either. At the LCFC game, when THAT goal went in, I was at the front of the surge that came down the stairs, onto the edge of the pitch - resulting in me getting pushed over the advertising board and nearly onto the pitch.

And Hereford - not easy to express in words, just absolute elation and relief.
