Was reading that their manager had heard the original by Giorgio Moroda and got the rights to do a cover version. Sadly the bassist died in Jan, after the keyboard player had died in 2017. The song was co written by Moroda and Michael Holm. Pete Bellotte wrote the English lyrics from the German original.

Yeh I just found out that Giorgio Moroda wrote it when I went to find it to post on this thread - Makes sense the electronic sound to it even away back in the 70s
