Recognising that you only have a few recent seasons experience of watching the albion and that those years have seen little genuine talent on the pitch, I still don't think you've spent much time considering that list.

D Minus for effort.

I'll give you the benefit of the doubt that you may not have seen many games this season, since if you had, you would undoubtedly put Dicker in ahead of Reid and Hammond. Calderon would also be way ahead of Whing. Frutos, Flinders and Noel-Williams bring additional averageness.

My own selection (from 30 years watching) would be:

Moseley
Stevens
Chapman
Foster
Gatting
Case
Wilson
Smillie
Worthington
Robinson
Zamora

I'm not including Ward or Horton as I only saw both of them play once.

For me it will be pretty thin, but some older fans will have some interesting partnerships I hope. :)

FLINDERS

LYNCH....MCSHANE....BUTTERS....WHING

FRUTOS....HAMMOND....REID....LUA LUA

FORSTER....NOEL-WILLIAMS

KUIPERS
EL-ABD
BERTIN
SAVAGE

Peter Grummit - best goalkeeper weve ever had
Gary Stevens - Great Player -Great replacement for Foster in central defence if he gets injured too
Steve Foster - Headbanded collossus
Mark Lawrenson - class
Steve Gatting - So consistent, hardly ever had a bad game and his play was so cool and unflustered

Jimmy Case - Brilliant tackler, passer, scorer, battler, free kick taker, god what a player
Danny Wilson - A brilliant trier and every team should have one
Brian Horton - Nuff said
Tony Towner - Sad some of the younger fans didnt see him play cos at his best he was phenomenal, super fast in a lua lua way and brilliant at taking on players, best winger

Peter Ward - Nuff said
Bobby Zamora - Nuff said

Subs
Paul Watson - not the fastest i know but we miss his delivery and Zammo would benefit from him being in the squad
Paul Brooker - Not consistent, couldnt tackle to save his life and a bit light but I loved his skill and maizy runs. At his best he was class. Good crosser too.
Paul Clark - The Tank, built like a brick outhouse and solid as a rock
Danny Cullip - Nuff said
Corrigan - Really good goalkeeper
Frank Worthington - If only to show his skills at controlling the ball before the game starts and entertain the crowd before kick-off like he used to do - utter class
Johnny Byrne - Great Striker real trier

Zamora is nearly every choice bar this one!

Hopkins (Wales) and Irvine (N Ireland) nearly made my list.

Since Micky Adams yes because we have been so f***ing SHIT CREAK

I highly encourage you to return. It's free-flowing, passing, sexy 'total football' nowadays, as the threads on NSC will testify.

Completely different from what came before.
