We took a bit of a beating last Sunday, but as a football fan I have to admit that hearing YNWA sung by 38000 scousers with scarves aloft did send a shiver down my spine, and no doubt affected the bowels of Noone and Navarro, especially as the teams had to hang around on the pitch whilst hy sang!

How can we make GOSBTS an intimidating anthem?

Discuss......

Everyone learning the words and singing in time. Been said a million times but will never happen.

By dominating English and European football for 20 years like Liverpool did.

Best part of the day.

Said it before and I'll say it again. GOSBTS is simply TOO LONG for people to sing all the words in full slowly. There's too many verses, and there'll always be an interruption during play.

What can happened though is it can be SLOWED DOWN. There's been a couple of times away this season that it's happened and would sounds good.

For some reason though, half the North Stand can't even sing the chorus in tune to the music, so there's no hope

Yep, a true traditional passionate football crowd and atmosphere, sung FROM ALL 3 STANDS, along with Shankly Gates.
Something Arsenal & Chelsea got rid of with corporates & pricing forcing out lower incomes within their original fans bases. £££££

Hopefully the Albion will always maintain a wide fan base.

I was speaking to another Albion fan there with no allegiance to LFC (if anything his PL club was always Man City), but he was stunned by the passionate singing and noise of YNWA & Shankly Gates. Alot of other grounds in the Sky/seating era, are quieter thesedays. Not Anfield.

Now is the time for marching,
Now let your hearts be gay,
Hark to the merry bugles,
Sounding along our way.
Now let your voices ring, my boys,
And take the time from me,
And I'll sing you a sing as we march along,
of Sussex by the Sea.

Tell me that's too long? We go straight into Good old Sussex by the Sea, which everyone knows, and we're there.

Why can't that work? ???

Agree, maybe a song sheet on the seats for one game will help!

I hate to say it, but it needs to be up on the screen for it to work. I like the song sheet idea as well (well, not really, but it needs to happen for this to work) so if some scally wags over in the North try to kick it off later in the game, people would have some to refer to. It needs to happen, we'll get the hang of it nice and quickly if we all try.

Clearly trying to get people to learn it without song sheets/being put on the big screen isn't working.. Why not try song sheets, even if its only done in the North stand..

There's a really nice piece in the Ipswich programme of Liverpool fans thanking Brighton fans for the respect we showed the Hillsbrough tribute, it's a nice touch I think.

I was massively under-whelmed by YNWA last Sunday.

Thought it would be awesome.............and it wasn't.

Just my opinion

What a load of bollox. Stage managed by a load of plastics. If they are true traditional passionate fans, why did they stop singing when the game started. Hardly heard a peep out of them for 90 minutes.
