Just a question but if Charlton couldn't get him a work permit last year how are Reading going to get one?
And can Reading not do there own trials or do they just steal people who have played well elsewhere saving them the bother.

Bit bizarre, because apparently Southampton bidded £1.2m for him, which was turned down. He went on trial at Everton and Charlton, with Everton turning him down, and Charlton wanting him but not getting a work permit (from the Reggae Boyz site). Then he went on trial at Stoke and we never heard anything... he turns up for our training session this morning and Pards is so impressed with him that he offers him a contract and lo-and-behold he's signed by 6pm!
Apparently we've been tracking (watching him do well for other clubs, you'd say
) him for a while now.We still want Ingemarsson though. Would fit the bill perfectly as cover for the two centre-backs, left-back, and holding midfield player.
Regards the work permit; he's now played plenty of games last year and also lots of internationals (now 21 games, scored 9) so it sounds promising.
But we now have millions of midfielders, while needing cover up front and at the back. Obviously Pardew is looking to play 1-7-2 this season or summat.
