Do we have posters outside their train stations advertising then?

I've no idea.

Why couldn't Charlton or any other team for that matter tap into people who wanted to go and watch them regardless of where they lived or whether that town already had a professional football club or not? I'm a Brighton fan so have very little interest in watching Charlton regardless of what division they are in and I'm guessing you are the same. Many people aren't though and want to watch decent football. Got to any station on a Saturday morning and see how many football fans you'll see getting trains to go and watch teams across the country. Not everyone has to be a Brighton fan

A petition will do nothing.

If there really is a problem (and I don't know enough about it to comment) then the best way to protest is to stop spending money at the club. Don't buy merchandise, food, drink, programmes and then don't renew your season ticket.

Surely anyone who was a Brighton fan at the time of Fans United won't really have a problem signing this will they?

They were a bit twattish in trying to poach Albion fans and laughably stupid when they all started moaning that 6th in the Premier League wasn't good enough before forcing Curbishley out.

It's true. I don't get it at all but there are quite a few people like this.

My boss at the firm I do some work for is a case in point. From Scarborough originally and living near Doncaster for many years he was originally a Spurs fan (?) going to the occasional away game.

He then started watching Donny Rovers for a bit but the football was generally terrible so when he realised Bolton season tickets were relatively cheap and he could watch Premiership games somewhere not too far away he switched again.

He got tickets for both his young lads and since then they've all become Bolton fans (an improvement for one who was veering towards Man United).

This obviously hasn't worked out very well recently though.....

As I say, I don't understand the mentality at all but everyone is different.

Point taken. But does anyone know any Charlton fans from the Brighton area who we've lost specifically because they ran busses from the area when we were shit? Our attendances currently compared to theirs would suggest not many if any.

I've never got it to be honest. Both Man Utd and Arsenal run a coach from Hastings each week (at least they used to when I used to go on the A21 bus) and as I said you've only got to go to a train station on any Saturday morning and you'll see people going to here there and everywhere. Should we have the hump with national rail as well?

Wonder if you could be so kind as to assist.

I'm sure you are aware that at Charlton we are having all sorts of hassles with our absent, eccentric Belgian owner and are trying to force his hand into selling before the fabric of our club has completely gone. We've been protesting after every game now and there has been 2,000+ at the last two protests.

We've just started a petition below encouraging him to sell. Takes 30 seconds, we really would appreciate your help.

All the best

Done from me too.
