Steve Coppell for me. Nearly rescued us after a shocking start and had us playing in great football in storming to the top of the division, the following season.

I know he was before Withdean but a brief mention for Nobby Horton who got us back on our feet after a few seasons of terrible football, gave us a brief glimpse of a play-off and gave us all hope for the future. If the poll had been post-Goldstone managers, he'd have been my choice

It was Steve Coppell and Mark McGhee, but they have recently been usurped by Gustavo.
