No contract has been offered at this stage and it has only been an initial discussion between the club and his representatives.

He has also been approached by West Brom.

Benayoun would be a fantastic signing. Perhaps the opportunity to play regular football could be an attraction, I'd imagine he'd be less involved at WBA

From last season we have lost 2 left backs, 1 centre back and at least 3 central midfielder's. Definitely need to more personnel in the middle.

Exactly the type of player need really, distributing the ball to the rampaging Buckley/March/LuaLua/CMS. Get him on board.
