I'm not sure we are. We don't have claws & fangs plus our intestinal tract is much longer then that of other carnivores.
Also where other animals have evolved to be able to meat raw, we have to cook it.

yeah its overplayed a bit. however its clear we have evolved to eat some meat, to be omnivores. we need certain vitamins and minerals from meat and meat protein is much more efficently digested than veg proteins (need more veg to get the same amount). iirc its widely accepted that our adaptation to eating more meat, in particular fish, encouraged our evolution.

Hmm, Boy boots sheep, (daily mails readers) world explodes, of course we can all over look what happens to all of the animals most of us eat on a daily basis, the majority of those had much, much worse things happen to them through out there lives, but then... its just the food chain!
