According to their official site, Internazionale have a squad of 28 players, fit or otherwise.

Which one is the more likely to whinge about being down to the bare bones - Rafa or 'arry? Another shock.

According to Spurs Offical site we have 32 not 40 fit or otherwise.

Dunno about that, they were both pony last night as was Crouch.

Lennon's set up for the 3rd goal was brilliant but agreed he didn't have the greatest game last night.

Did u notice he drew THREE defenders before squaring it to Bale at exactly the right time for that 3rd one - it was class.

Quite, Im not overly bothered about last night as it was all about learning, plus its good for England the likes of Huddlestone and Lennon get more big matches surely.

A one goal deficit against the Champions of Europe, after playing 75-80 mins with 10 men, and after being 4-0 down at half time. I think anyone would take that. OK we still get f*** all for it, but the pride our players played with in the second half was admiral. Hopefully we can push on and finish second in the group now.

We've got to learn though you cannot give players of THAT quality time and space on the ball otherwise you'll get punished, as we did.

There's nothing admirable about going 3-0 down in 13 minutes, 4-0 at half time, only scoring thanks to a wonder goal and then two more in the last two minutes with the game won comfortably.

It's like all those people banging on about how if Lampards goal had been seen it was 2-2 against Germany and a different game. It doesn't paper over the fact that Spurs were totally outclassed and completely out of the game for 75 minutes. From the 13th to the 89th minute, the result was never in doubt, however close it looked on paper.

He put the ball on crouch's head in the first half for him to miss a sitter, considering he has been dire so fair this season he is getting better.

I was saying our second half performance was admirable. NOT the first the SECOND.

On the back of the thread title, I have heard David Baddiel talk a lot about Spurs fans use of the word Yid.

Him and his brother have made a film about it that I see is now out, have any one seen it, I think they eventually got support from the board of Tottenham so maybe it has been shown up there on match day.

I see its stars Zesh Rehman.

THE Y WORD

A short film written by David & Ivor Baddiel to raise awareness of Anti-Semitism in Football, directed by Robert Young (Splitting Heirs, Eichmann). Featuring Gary Lineker, Frank Lampard, Ledley King, Kieran Gibbs, Rachel Yankey and Zesh Rehman. Sponsored by Kick It Out, David Baddiel, CST & Maccabi with full support from The FA, Premier League & the Professional Footballer's Association.

Status: Completed and airing in September 2010

Information
The chanting of ‘Yiddo' and the evocation of other anti-semitic chants and behaviour, such as ‘gas chamber' hissing still occurs with alarming regularity at football grounds up and down the country and is largely left undealt with.

In a zero-tolerance for racism in modern football, the argument put forward by some that “Yiddo” is a special case, because Spurs fans, most of whom are not Jewish, like to use the term about themselves, is irrelevant: Yid is a race-hate term, exactly the same as offensive terms for black or Asian people, the use of which, in any context, would lead to immediate exclusion at a football ground.

As a way of combating the ‘Yid' chant, raising awareness of the issue and starting a dialogue about it, David Baddiel has written a short (90 second) film addressing this issue. This film will feature well-known footballers and be shown at football grounds across the country, cinemas and distributed virally to as many websites as possible.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm...

Crouch really can't head the ball can he. That miss was just woeful.

Yes I was interested after hearing him interviewed what it would look like and how it would be recieved. I thought the FA one about homophobia was really well done, but I am sure it got pulled for some reason.

The last interview I heard Badiell on Talksport/Radio 5, talked about him meeting the board at Tottenham and that x amount of them thought certain stuff chanted by Spurs and aways fans was fair game. Which is why I think they got this film commisoned. I also think it is with the Kick it Out people who I think also helped with the one below, so wondered if it was in the same style.

If any of you spurs fans see it on line or mentioned in a forum, I would be intersted to check it out.

Outclassed & outplayed by the champions of Europe. No one can really argue with this, I don't think. Will be a different story back at The Lane, though! :drink:
