As MM was saying on Phone-In, Withdean is a dump, it lacks atmosphere and financial income, and Yes i had to agree with him for the first time, but when you think about it, Micky Adams and Peter Taylor they didnt have the money from Coca Cola to spend on transfers, they didnt have a crowd of 7000 to give them some atmosphere.





And yet the both managed to get results!!!

That's exactly the point. Believe it or not it's a different propostiion competing against Sheffield United, Crystal Palace, Wolves etc than there is with Bournemouth, Blackpool and Rotherham. Is this really hard to udnerstand?!

Its always a f***ing excuse with Magoo, ok Withdean is a dump but we've been putting up with it for years now. Isn't it time for Magoo to stop with the f***ing excuses and look at himself for once.

We won back to back championships at Withdean, with a smaller capacity. It was a fortress. There was a theory that it completely disorientated away teams. Whatever the reason -- it was s rock solid home ground for us.

It's an unusual place to be playing high level football, admittedly, but we've been there quite a while now and only Mayo and Hart (I think) have experience of us having home games elsewhere. McGhee knew what the ground was like before he came. Professional footballers who reckon they can only get motivated at grounds like Wednesday or Ipswich perhaps aren't as professional as they would have us believe.

Moaning about it achieves nothing. It certainly doesn't speed up the process of building a new stadium ... so get over it.

Them...being of a higher standard than our previous visitors at the start of Withdean.

You would count your lucky stars if you travel to a ground with little atmosphere to lift the home side. Takes away part of the advantage.
