the 1st 3 times i saw michel play were

in a pre season freindly at hastings and he had a nightmare as we lost 2 1

away at southend when micky decided enough was enough at half time

and at the withdean against hartlepool when after taking an early 3 goal lead the fdm decided 2 drop a cross into his own net under no pressure

after that i hoped to never see him in the stripes again and as they say the rest is history

I dont think hes done bad a third choice kepper in the prem team dont know what we want

no first team matches for Blackburn playing at home for the first time nerves will be high

cracking brave performance against leeds and one slip in the second game and people are giving him shit.

Roberts and Kuipers last season had plenty of incidents the thing is a goalie makes a mistake it is usally costly no ones slating mayos mistake in that game

and yelldell still worked hard and tried to make up for the mistake

3Gulls, if you were at Leeds, you'd know that Yelldell had a great game and kept us in the match. FFS, he had a bad day Saturday, yep. End of. Give the man a f***ing chance.

He needs to command the box more and shout instructions to his defence. He seemed almost shy towards the defence, could not hear a peep out of him on Saturday. Perhaps more time with the squad will give him confidence to shout and claim the ball in the 6 yard box.

As I said yesterday Lenny Lawrence was at the Derby game and I suspect he will be telling his team to put Yeddell under pressure with high balls and hard challenges.

I congratulated Mr lawrence on his manager of the month award and he agreed that that award could be the kiss of death for Cardiff's result in february, lets hope so, well done West ham for starting the cardiff bad run in february

Hmmmmm funny how no-one here is ripping into Mayo who gifted them the first, or Butters who got done for their third.

OK so he 2nd was a soft goal but when keepers make mistakes it usually costs (unlike outfield players!).

I though his handling was bit dodgy at times but generally he did well. FFS he'shardly played any reserve team football let alone first teams of the level he's been confronted with so far.

anyone remember that long ago sunny day at Southend in 2000 when a certain FDM got subbed at half time to spare him futher misery. And look at him now

Just what i was about to say. Yelldell made some good saves and wasn't helped my Mayo, Reid and Butters playing appallingly infront of him. I like them all but Mayo seems to lose concentration too easily and Reid's positioning in the first half was abysmal

I totally agree. It does worry me that someone who has come from a premiership club isn't talking to the defence. It's a basic schollboy thing.

Anyway, despite those muppets on here who say the FDM doesn't command the box, talk to the defence and can't kick Saturday proved what a jewel he is. Being spoilt by his calibre of performances this season means our expectations have risen. Yelldell needs more time with the defence and needs to gain confidence........... we can all help with that.

We have to take what we can get at the moment. He did well at Leeds, yes he made mistakes against Derby. All players including our regular players make mistakes.

Slowly our home crowd are turning more and more into moaning toss pots. The sooner we get Falmer and have a dedicated moaning section the better.

that section stretches all the way across to C block, I can tell you.

Why can't anyone give either Yelldell or McCammon a chance? They've both come here off the back of no first team action for a long time. They are here to make us a better team and they both seem to care. Give them both a PROPER chance to settle in, know the other players and get fit.

I am not slagging Yeddell, I am saying he should communicate with his defence, its a basic goalkeeping requirement.

Last week I was slated for saying McCammon would score against Derby, but I only said he would get 1, wrong again!

Not having a go at you Mr Kat - more a general pop at the idiots who's idea of supporting the team is to loudly slag off new players during the game.
