Radio Four news is still describing him as seriously ill.

Ariel Sharon describes his condition as "satisfactory".

My Dyson really sucks.

My dyson always broke down more than middle eastern peace talks. It was so crap I put it on the streets! Though one great thing aboout Dalston, is that a neighbour bagged it in minutes.

Nothing goes to waste around here,

Their disliking of each other goes back to when they were both standing in a que for a Bus ,

All Yasser Arrafat said was- "what times the bus due?"

and Aeiral Sharon replied with- "in about 10 minutes you Arab bastard!"

My Dyson is a bit temperamental. The ON/OFF button has to be caressed to make it spring into life...sometimes it can take several minutes before she'll start up. But once its up and running, man there's some SERIOUS suction power there.

Dontcha just love NSC. You can have a conversation about hoovers in the middle of a thread about the Middle East...and yet it still doesn't seem out of place. Marvellous.

WTF?

Why is he a terrorist? For trying to stop Israelis invading his peoples land? Because desperate Palestinians have to kill themselves and others as the only weapon they have against Israli Tanks and Helicopter Gunships that take out innocents every day?

Sorry Easy. Until I read the second paragraph, I thought you were on about your missus.

Terrible loss. No well known figure to keep Isreal in check now.

The sonner the day the US stops burning cash on that quixotic adventure, the better.

although the reports of his death seem a little premature, i dont see him being around much longer.

Im far more concerned with how his death will affect peace in the region than Bush being re-elected. Arafat has become a moderate and kept alot of radical Palestinians in check. It could get very messy very quickly.

One mans terrorist is anothers freedom fighter. I see him as a freedom fighter, and hence he was always a moderate

Then again I come from a country that was also illegally occupied for huge lenghts of time and got its freedom through "terrorism".

That is why the Irish state provide large amounts of humanitarian aid to Palestine. And because we "own" the ambulances/fire engines that the Palestinian Authorities use, anything Isreal or the US destroy one, they get the bill. And usually pay, on threat of losing Isreals EU funding for defaulting on war damages to an EU country...

Had you looked at my location bar you would have seen Ireland

GB occupied us for 800 years, 120 of those illegally - parliment here was dissolved and direct rule imposed

Took 5 years of "terrorism" from 1916-1921 to get us free. The "terrorists" were people who are now seen as heroes - Eamon De Valera, Constance Marcievicz, James Connolly, etc.
