His form for Lewes, where he has been since last October, has drawn the attention of scouts and several clubs in the Championship are monitoring him, including Queens Park Rangers, Reading, Brighton & Hove Albion and Birmingham City. He has previously had trials at Watford and Bournemouth.

Certainly got some nice skills on the video on the guardian site but, can he cross a ball accurately? Has he got the pace to go past a full back and he looks like he'd get blown over by a gust of wind.
Surely we have some Lewes fans on here? Is he any good? Why did his trials at Watford and Bournemouth not work out?

Not sure why this has made the Guardian. I know plenty of Non league players who have pro trials at clubs. A friend is due to have one shortly at another club in our division.

We signed Ward from Chelmsford surely the likes of Southend and Colchester should have got there first.

Not a local lad so it is the London clubs who haven't picked him up sooner. Only signed by Lewes in October.

Indeed he did, however the poster is on about Joe Ward who was signed for our development squad in the summer.
