I believe the number of accounts is at an all time high, but it doesn’t follow that all those accounts are genuine

Has anyone else who uses this Elon musk self publicising crap, noticed that every thread is hijacked by anyone who has a political view or worldwide chelsea fans whinging about their lot, by adding a # on their post of the current “ trending” tweets.

For example this one



this is just an example and not a political point, but this bot has assumed that to get everyone looking at its post, it needs to add #strictly to its post to show up on that thread.

there are so many of these on every thread now, it is becoming impossible to read the bloody thing

Don't use twitter, think I had an account for one week and got rid when I realised it was super shit. Clicked on the 'Ignore Thread' button hoping there was an option to ignore all threads that mentioned twitter, but alas, that option doesn't seem to be available.
