I liked his songwriting, i still love butterfly, which he wrote when in the fame academy

Is that the one that goes "All that i'm hoping for is..(something, Something)..Lullaby?" He sung that in the final and it was co-written with Katie and Sinead I think.

David, Sinead and even Ainsley were better songwriters, which is why I don't think it was a travesty that he only came third.

Ben is a one trick pony, a good gravel voiced middle of the road rock singer, the grey rinsers and teenyboppers will not go for him come final night. Leona is the X Factor.

Don't need that! I'd prefer to switch over when Leona sings She's an excellent performer, I agree, but her voice doesn't do it for me and it really grates on me after a few bars!. Although I'm probably amongst one of the grey rinsers you mention, I'll definitely be voting for Ben! I love gravel voices - Rod Stewart, Brian Adams etc. As for one trick ponies - I can't see Leona being very versatile either. She's good at what she does but is no better than many other female singers, in my opinion. It's all a matter of taste, anyway. Ben does it for me and Leona doesn't!

Yes, I love the long hair, but I'd still love his singing even if he had a shaved head! It's not the looks that count!

The McDonald Brothers are probably getting the sympathy vote from some, they're nothing special but don't deserve all the stick Simon Cowell gives them.
