This isn't the end of my journey, it's just the beginning.

You smashed it.

You really showed us who you are.

I think you're a serious contender for the Mercury Award.

(The last one isn't entirely true).

That was the performance of the evening (usually said about 3 times per show)

or

That wasn't the performance of the evening; that was the performance of the SERIES

You absolutely deserve to be in this competition.

Oh, and while I'm on... Mash Ups. I'm in my fifties and stopped being down with the kids about two decades ago, but can I point out to you X-Factor judges that a 'mash up' involves two or more songs being played simultaneously or for significant overlaps within the song. Singing one song straight after another without a gap is a 'Medley'. Now feck off, and stop talking about bloody mash ups.

This.

Also: "Let's take a look at your highlights"

"You might not have the strongest vocals, but you've got the X-Factor"

"[insert judge name], I'm really going to have to push you"

"This is a REALLY hard decision"

"This is all I've ever wanted" or "This means EVERYTHING to me"

"You're going to get a recording contract"

"[inser act name] has had a really tough week"

It's pish. And I hope the rumours are true about Cowell ditching it.

" I think i could own the stage with this and make the song my own! I've been singing since i was 4 years old when i first heard the Thomas the tank engine theme tune.

I love my life but would like to do something make a difference and make things better for my kids.

If you'd just give me a chance, it'd mean everything to me, it'd be everything i'd ever dreamed of.

I don't want to moan about things, but i had a hard time growing up. I've been mocked and bullied about my weight. People don't understand what a nightmare half - bullimia is to live with......Eating binges mixed with amnesia which causes me to forget to throw up afterwards.

I've always wanted to perform and believe i can reach the very top and win this competition "

I've been singing all my life. Its all I've ever done.

That was by far your weakest performance of the series so far.

Oh, and can I just thank Brian for the fantastic dance routine? (Camera pans to Brian in audience and he looks up through his eyebrows and gives off the most insincere modest smile you've ever seen)
