What's the best place to park near the ground?

I have just phoned Wycombe and they said you can park at the stadium. Should be a £5 card paymet Fisrt come first served, but does not think there will be an issue for tonight regarding spaces.

So nice and simple

How many of that Chelsea team made the grade

Depends on definition of made it. All went on have professional football careers, at varying levels. 1 has since retired and a couple are without clubs. Two players are still at Chelsea.

Chelsea line up for the semi final

Marcin Bułka - goalkeeper now at Nice after a spell at PSG. Made international debut for Poland last year.

Reece James - Defender currently injured but considered one of the best right backs in the game.

Ethan Ampadu - central defender, made a few appearances for Chelsea first team. Now at Leeds and a regular for Wales.

Richard Nartey - Central defender now at Salford after spells at Chelsea and Burnley where he never made the first team.

Dujon Sterling - full back who made a couple of appearances in cup matches for Chelsea first team, signed for Rangers in summer of 2023 after being released by Chelsea.

Trevoh Chalobah - central defender or midfielder who is still at Chelsea but hasn’t played this season due to injury.

Ruben Sammut - midfielder, captained the Chelsea academy side. Never played for Chelsea first team, went to Falkirk on loan and then moved to Sunderland. Appears to have retired and is now at Charlton as part of their scouting/recruitment set up.

Juan Castillo - defender, went to various loans to Dutch sides as well as Charlton and Birmingham. Released by Chelsea in summer of 2023 having never played a first team game. Currently without a club.

Callum Hudson-Odoi - winger now at Nottingham Forest, following a (rumoured) £5 million transfer in summer 2023. Has played 3 games for England.

Harvey St Clair - winger left Chelsea at 18 after turning down a contract and joined Venezia. Had 4 loan spells away and is currently a free agent after leaving there in summer of 2023.

Daishawn Redan - Dutch striker who left Chelsea in 2019 for Hertha Berlin. Moved to Venezia in 2023 but is currently on loan to an Italian third flight team.

Subs included Kilian Hazard who would have been an overage player. Never made a first team appearance for Chelsea. Currently playing for RWDM in Belgium, more famous for being younger brother of Eden and Thorgan Hazard.

So actually a very very decent youth side

They only made the semis.

Shows how hard it will be for our lads to progress

In the 17-18 season we needed a win in the last group game against Stevenage to have a chance of progressing. Back then the only selection rule was that academy sides needed 6 under 21s in the starting line up. There was no rule about only having two players over 21 who’d made more than 40 first team appearances. So our starting XI included senior pros Tim Krul, Ezequiel Schelotto, Uwe Hünemeier, Liam Rosenior and Jamie Murphy.

We still lost 3-1.

Are the semi-finals also regionalised?

If so, then the winner of this match will certainly be playing Peterborough United in the "southern final".

No they aren't.

This is the first season the QF have been regionalised since the Academy sides started taking part but the semi finals are a free draw.

5.1.5 Semi Finals.
  1. The four winners from the quarter-finals will contest the semi-finals.
  2. Semi-final pairings are determined by means of an unseeded draw with no regionalisation.
  3. The Club drawn first is the Home Club.
  4. Matches will be played by way of only one leg and be of ninety minutes duration with no extra time. If the scores are level at the end of the Match then the winners shall be determined by the taking of kicks from the penalty mark in accordance with procedures as approved by IFAB.

Unfortunately, Ruairi McConville (who has been ever-present for the previous 5 matches in this competition) is suspended so has to sit out. No Mark O'Mahony (who is presumably injured), but otherwise just about the strongest possible line-up:-

Wycombe TV working well on the stick apparently, so I've been told.

They're talking about organising coach trips and using drills to assemble stuff, if only I had a stick.

Former Albion youth player David Wheeler and former Albion trialist Kieran Sadlier start for Wycombe.

Former Albion loanee Sam Vokes and former Albion academy player Jasper Pattenden (younger brother of Bognor Regis Town's Lucas) are on the bench for the Chairboys.
