The Palace bashing on here is utterly cringeworthy at times. Have you noticed how their average home gate is about 2.5 times bigger than ours? And if you didn't notice that fact this season, how about the previous 14 seasons?

Actually I think our away support is reasonably good because a lot of those punters prefer to get their Albion fix away from Withdean, because they can't stand the place.

 Wheres das Reich when you need him?

Have you noticed how I'm talking about one away attendance in particular and do not once refer to the size of either club? And you didn't notice that the idea of my post was to point out our away following is generally better than theirs? The people missing the point of a post on here is utterly cringeworthy at times.

You ignored the fact that our game was 70miles away, theirs was in Wales...

Yes, I know, and it is a contributory factor, clearly, but still doesn't excuse the fact their following was very poor for a club 3 points away from the play-offs in the Championship, at a ground their fans hadn't visited before, we'd be dissapointed if that was all we could conjure for such a game... If it's not the worse away attendance for a league game their this season then they will not be far off it. Even we managed a paltry 150 for a pointless cup game on a Tuesday night!

70 miles away yes, but that away end is pretty much full and we have already played them away this year!

All factors into consideration on this one and our away support looks a lot stronger!

I disagree.

Particularly as Palace played Swansea last season.

Fair enough. I got their year of promotion mixed up, my error.

But you think if they were in our situation they'd have taken around 1,500 to watch two poor teams at the wrong end of League One at a staduim they've already visited this year? And if we were in theirs we'd only take 450 odd? Big difference in numbers for about an extra 45-60 minutes on a train.

70 miles more like 100:lolol:

Its fair to bash palace as they just don't travel well end of.I agree they get far bigger crowds at home and have huge ticket prices like us but in the circumstances i feel they would not compete if they was in our position.

All though that won't happen so its irrelevant:wink:

In between all these people having their mini binfest, I think the support shown in those brilliant photos, for a league 1 club is absolutely astounding, we should all be proud and it was a great day

It has to be said, filling up that stand is a decent effort, and only goes to show the potential of this club. It's the reason we're going to more or less fill Falmer for a good few years.
